  1.      Thank you for taking an interest in The Electronic Encyclopedia of the 
  2. Elements. This collection of files has extensive data on each of the chemical 
  3. elements.
  4.      There are 103 element data files, each named after an element. If the 
  5. element's name is more than eight letters, just the first eight letters of the 
  6. element's name are in the file. ex: PRASEODYMIUM would be PRASEODY.ASC.
  7.      Using a program such as Vern Buerg's popular LIST program would make 
  8. viewing these text files much easier. The latest version of LIST is 76b and 
  9. can be found under the filename of LIST76B.???.
